～Efforts to reduce the final disposal rate of industrial waste～

MIRAIT ONE Corporation (headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo : President and CEO, Toshiki Nakayama) has established the "MIRAIT ONE Group: Policy on Disposal of Industrial Waste."

We will continue to develop workable measures and policies in pursuit of our medium-term target for "strong foundation for ESG management" in our Medium-term Management Plan (non-financial, "Environment" domain), which is to achieve a final disposal rate for industrial waste 1.5% or less by FY2030.

MIRAIT ONE Group: Policy on Disposal of Industrial Waste

The MIRAIT ONE Group will appropriately dispose of the industrial waste generated in the course of its business activities at its own responsibility, promote environmental conservation activities with an awareness of the continuous use of resources, and strive to reduce the impact on the global environment.

１．Basic Policy on Disposal of Industrial Waste

①Conserve the environment of industrial waste storage areas and outsource collection and transportation to an industrial waste collection and transportation company licensed by the prefectural governor.
② Promote recycling of industrial waste with thorough sorting methods.
③ Reduce the generation of industrial waste by using recycled materials and reducing packing materials, etc.
④ Select companies with a good final disposal rate and execute appropriate contracts.
⑤ Issuance of a manifesto, confirm disposition, and record/store details. Also, promote the use of an electronic manifesto.

２． Efforts to Achieve the Final Disposal Rate Target for Industrial Waste

① Identify the disposal rate of generated and processed waste, and work to visualize the disposal rate.
② Establish an "Industrial Waste Reduction Coordinating Committee" encompassing the main group companies to share information.
③ Utilize company intranets, posters, etc. to carry out awareness-raising activities for industrial waste reduction for each workplace and all workers.
④ Conduct study sessions to deepen understanding of the Wastes Disposal and Public Cleansing Law, Construction Material Recycling Law, etc.
