【MIRAIT ONE Corporation】MIRAIT ONE, Together with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus, Launches Charger Maintenance Service for "eCanter" Corporate Users Effective April 2025
MIRAIT ONE Corporation (head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Toshiki Nakayama; "MIRAIT ONE") and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (head office: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa; President and CEO: Karl Deppen; "MFTBC"), have launched the Charger Maintenance Service ("Service") for users of the electric light-duty eCanter trucks effective April 2025.
The Service is offered as an ancillary service to FUSO Green Lease®, a leasing program exclusively for eCanter by Daimler Truck Financial Services Asia Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hans-Georg von Gumppenberg), and for corporate users only. MIRAIT ONE provides high-quality maintenance operations utilizing its extensive experience in the installation of over 4,000 EV charger units.
* "FUSO Green Lease®" is a registered trademark of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation.
*1 Mid-term enrollment is not possible for eCanters already in operation.
The Service considers a minimal level of factors to be considered in cost setting, such as the risk of damage to the charger and frequency of inquiry responses in general charger maintenance, and offers practical service content and pricing. Since a failure response is billed according to the respective situation, customers do not need to pay extra fees for potential risks and can bear appropriate costs according to the actual usage of the charger.
EV truck chargers are important equipment for introduction and operation of EV trucks, with many customers installing them at their own business sites. While the adoption of EV chargers is increasing in line with the progress in decarbonization of commercial vehicles, maintenance services for chargers are still limited. As the chargers for EV trucks are assumed to be adopted by corporate users, the users of chargers, frequency and conditions of charger usage and other factors are more predictable compared to chargers intended for public use. This led us to launch the Service.
In addition, the combination of the Service with the "Chargers and Installation Service," provided by MFTBC since 2022, and for which MIRAIT ONE serves as the charger installation partner, allows customers to enjoy one-stop service, from charger installation to maintenance, through FUSO Green Lease®.
In Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has set a target of 300,000 EV charging stations to be installed by 2030. With the expected increase in the number of EV charging outlets installed in the future, the demand for charger maintenance and inspection will likely grow dramatically.
MIRAIT ONE will deploy maintenance services for EV chargers by leveraging its abundant experience in EV charger installations to date, nationwide technical support network, and call center services cultivated through facility maintenance, to also meet the needs for maintenance and inspection of chargers, which is an area expected to grow rapidly going forward.
