【MIRAIT ONE Corporation】MIRAIT ONE Joins NETSUGEN, a Public-Private Co-Creation Space Operated by Gunma Prefecture

MIRAIT ONE Corporation (head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Hidemune Sugahara; "MIRAIT ONE") Gunma Branch has joined a public-private co-creation space "NETSUGEN" operated by Gunma Prefecture (Governor: Ichita Yamamoto) with a view to contribute to solving regional issues and developing DX human resources in the region by creating new businesses and expanding partnerships.

NETSUGEN is a place where prefectural and municipal governments working to resolve regional issues can directly interact with companies, NPOs, universities, and research institutions holding the latest technologies. Based on the philosophy of "diverse human resources (as energy sources) working together to create new value," it was established in 2020 for the purpose of creating new businesses through open innovation and promoting DX to solve regional issues. With NETSUGEN as a base, the public and private sectors in Gunma Prefecture are working together to revitalize the entire region with the power of digital technology.

MIRAIT ONE Gunma Branch will contribute to solving regional issues by co-creating solutions using digital technology to address the challenges faced by Gunma Prefecture, such as the promotion of smart cities, regional disaster prevention measures, and measures to address aging infrastructure. In addition, employees of MIRAIT ONE will participate in NETSUGEN programs as mentors and instructors, thereby contributing to the development of local DX human resources.

Specific activities include conducting demonstration experiments for next-generation infrastructure management technologies and renewable energy-related solutions utilizing AI, drones, etc., in collaboration with NETSUGEN member companies; and co-hosting technical seminars with expert engineers from MIRAIT ONE as speakers, ideathon*1 with students and young creators, workshops, and other events.
Furthermore, we plan to provide our technical resources and commercialization knowhow to NETSUGEN-based startups, and support their demonstration experiments and scale-up through collaboration.

As a member of NETSUGEN, MIRAIT ONE Gunma Branch will continue to deepen co-creation with diverse partners, aiming to create new business values and achieve social implementations that will lead to the future of Gunma.

Ideathon*1 is a coined word that combines the words "idea" and "marathon." It is an event in which diverse participants gather and concentrate to create new ideas in a short period of time.
