MIRAIT ONE Corporation (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Hidemune Sugahara; "MIRAIT ONE") is pleased to announce that it has received an order for EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) of a grid-scale battery storage facility "Matsue-shi Shinji Battery Storage Station" (tentative name) in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, to be constructed by Chugin Energy Co., Ltd. (head office: Kita-ku, Okayama City; Representative Director: Shinichi Matsuoka), a subsidiary of Chugin Financial Group, Inc. Construction will begin in April 2026, with a plan to start operating the storage station before the end of FY2026.

Chugin Energy Co., Ltd. is the business operator, and the battery storage station will have three units of grid-scale battery storage system "Mega Power 2700A" (rated capacity: 8,226 kWh, PCS output: 1,999 kW) manufactured by PowerX, Inc.
By charging electricity during periods of power surplus and discharging electricity during periods of shortage, the storage station will contribute to the stabilization of electricity supply and demand in the Chugoku region. At the same time, we will promote effective use of renewable energy in the region by managing power in various electricity markets such as the supply-demand balancing market.

MIRAIT ONE has 9 power storage facility construction sites nationwide, including those of its group companies, and has built a system capable of meeting demand for storage facilities nationwide. In addition, we provide one-stop services for the construction of power storage facilities, from consulting to procurement and construction, enabling the construction of power storage facilities that meet customer needs. With respect to this project, MIRAIT ONE was selected as the EPC business operator for its track record in construction along with the ability to propose technologies.

MIRAIT ONE will continue to contribute to the development of an environmentally friendly power infrastructure through the construction of grid-scale battery storage facilities and storage facilities attached to solar power plants, with the aim of realizing a carbon-neutral society.
