Major telecommunications construction company MIRAIT ONE Corporation (head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Toshiki Nakayama; "MIRAIT ONE") and its Group company SEIBU CONSTRUCTION CO.,LTD. (head office: Tokorozawa-shi, Saitama; President and Chief Executive Officer: Makoto Sato; "SEIBU CONSTRUCTION") concluded a "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on Utilization of Drones" with the Kodaira City, Tokyo ("Kodaira City"), the Kodaira Police Station of the Metropolitan Police Department and the Kodaira Fire Station of the Tokyo Fire Department on 6 July, 2023 (agreement period: from date of conclusion until March 31, 2024; scheduled to be renewed thereafter). Through the conclusion of the agreement, MIRAIT ONE and SEIBU CONSTRUCTION will partner and cooperate with Kodaira City to contribute to the promotion of the creation of a livable community that is safe, secure and comfortable through the utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

For the purpose of promoting the creation of a livable community, Kodaira City will consider the utilization of drones for 1) realization of the creation of a livable community that is safe, secure and comfortable, 2) strengthening disaster prevention and disaster mitigation, 3) surveys, research and drills utilizing drones, 4) surveys and cooperation using drones in the event of a disaster,
5) consideration and promotion of the utilization of drones, and 6) effective promotion of other regional revitalization and improvement of city services.

MIRAIT ONE will provide know-how on the creation of safe and secure communities utilizing DX, SEIBU CONSTRUCTION will provide know-how on building inspections, and dedicated drone subsidiary MiratecDrone Corp. ("MiratecDrone") will provide know-how on drones to partner and cooperate with Kodaira City. Going forward, the insights obtained through this agreement will be utilized to contribute to the creation of communities by wide area local government involving surrounding local governments.

MiratecDrone Corp. was established as a company specializing in the drone business in 2020. It provides a wide range of services such as inspections surveys, aerial photography and disaster relief using drones, and has a record of over 4,000 flights for clients including the national government, local governments, and infrastructure companies. It also provides various schools enabling participants to learn about drone operating methods and flight safety rules, and this January held the first course in Japan enabling the acquisition of certification for performing inspections of exterior walls of buildings using drones. In addition, the company handles a wide range of drones from Japan and overseas, and provide services able to meet all of the drone-related needs of customers.
